I'm Alana Peters — an executive coach and leadership facilitator working with senior leaders and leadership teams across Canada and internationally. My clients are purpose-driven organizations - leaders and teams whose work is measured in more than profit. I help executives and teams develop the self-awareness, courage, and clarity that sustainable performance actually requires.

My path to this work

I started my full-time coaching and facilitation practice in 2015, after more than two decades as a senior leader in education and the non-profit sector. I've sat across from leaders buckling under the pain of criticism. I've watched capable people crumble beneath overwhelming or unrealistic expectations. I've seen what happens when leaders lose touch with their authentic voice — when the gap between who they are and what they're performing grows too wide to sustain.

That gap is what I work with now. Executive coaching, team facilitation, and leadership development grounded in the premise that performance built on depletion isn't performance — it's a countdown.

Why this work matters

Too many leaders are placed in positions of real influence without the skills those positions actually require. They have the title, the mandate, the team — and none of the internal scaffolding for the hard conversations, the self-management, the repair work, and the clarity the role demands. Most leadership development never touches this. It trains competencies and leaves the person underneath untended.

My work goes there. Executive coaching for the interior life of leadership. Team facilitation for the conversations teams are avoiding. Leadership development that changes how people lead, not just what they know about leading.

When this work lands, I've watched what happens. Teams name what they've been tiptoeing around. Values stop being posters and start being operating instructions. Trust stops being a buzzword and starts being the reason people stay. Leaders find their voice — not a louder version of the one they've been performing, but the one they actually have.
